Dear Parents and Guardians:

Greetings, from the principal’s desk! I am Mr. Hicks and I would like to welcome all of our students back for the upcoming school year. The time has arrived to start making preparations for what is going to be a very productive 2024/2025 school year! Changes this coming school year include the district-wide utilization of Positive Behaviors Interventions and Support (PBIS) and GLEAM Instruction!

Our Assistant Principal is Mrs. Snook. She has been in the Harrisburg School District for years, both as a teacher and as an administrator. She brings a tremendous amount of experience and knowledge to our school and we are blessed to have her as part of our Foose Family.  She cannot wait to meet the great students and families of Foose for the 2024-25 school year. 

The Harrisburg School District has updated the dress code for the new school year. You can find a description of what is and what is not approved on our district’s website.  All students are required to follow the new dress code guidelines.

Cell phones have become a distraction over the past few school years. To address this distraction, the district cell phone policy will be enforced starting the very first day of the 2024-2025 school year. All cellphones will be collected at the beginning of the school day. All teachers have lockable space to store student cell phones during the school day. Phones will be returned at the end of the day.  If you have any concerns with this policy, please reach out to me, so we can discuss your concerns.

As the summer winds down and you continue to prepare your students for the upcoming school year, the Principals, Teachers, and Support Staff at all of our schools in Harrisburg have all been working hard to prepare for your children this school year. We are looking forward to an exciting and productive school year!

Our school office is open Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm. Should you have any questions, please call or swing by the office.  Our first day of school is September 3rd and we start our school day at 8:35am. Our Open House will be on August 29th at 4:30pm to 6:30pm. Until then, continue to have a safe and fun summer!
